Description
Scope of Services
Purchase of a Service entrance rated switchboard, including utility pull section, utility meter, main circuit breaker and
distribution section with breakers and spaces as identified on the single line diagram. The serving utility company is the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). The switchboard shall meet or exceed all requirements of SMUD. Switchboard to be rated at 120/208 volts, 3 phase, 4 wire, 800 amperes, 65k AIC, in a NEMA 3R enclosure, front accessible only. Switchboard to be fully rated, series rating is prohibited. A selective coordination study must be
provided by the successful bidder, as part of their shop drawing submittal. Refer to Exhibit A, the technical specifications, Exhibit B, the single line diagram, and Exhibit C, Substitution Request Form for additional information.
This bid is only for the main switchboard, subpanels will be purchased separately in the future.

Other Details
Bidders must include the lead time for the switchgear, and the lead time cannot exceed 30 weeks from approval of the shop drawings. If the manufacture cannot ship within the 30-week lead time, the bid will be rejected.
Only the manufactures listed in the specifications are eligible to bid. If a manufacture not listed in the specifications would like to bid, a Substitution Request Form (Exhibit C) must be filled out and submitted to the City no later than the last day for questions, 9/6/2024 at 5:00 PM. The City will review the form, and if the substitution is acceptable, an addendum will be issued listing the manufacture as eligible to bid.
