Natalie McGee is truly an international individual. Hailing from the island of Barbados in the Caribbean she spent her formative years in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Natalie is a transplant to California from Detroit, Michigan where she worked in philanthropy, managing the Concierge Donor Program for Henry Ford Health System.
Natalie is mom to 5-year-old Nayeli and step mom to 20-year-old Franklin III. Natalie, her husband and youngest relocated to Northern California in August 2016 and she has spent the last 3 years as the Associate Director of the Grateful Patient Program at UC Davis Health on the Health systems’ Annual Fund Giving Team.
As the new Associate Director of External Relations for the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) and Energy and Efficiency Institute (EEI) UC Davis she will administer the unit’s prospect/moves management, stewardship, and “pipeline” donor programs. One of the many exciting fundraising initiatives she will lead is helping to design and grow a new individual giving program in partnership with leading faculty and student innovators. Natalie’s focus will be to raise money to move research from the university to industry practice and public policy in the span of months, not lifetimes.
In her spare time, Natalie sits on the leadership board of Sacramento Sister Circle and on the Sacramento City Equity Round-table committee.
“I am passionate about fundraising; my joy comes full circle when I see an “AHA” moment happening! An AHA moment is the moment when an individual see’s the benefit and reciprocal nature of giving philanthropically”.
