YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ACADEMY (YEA)

A collaboration of the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento City College, California State University Sacramento, Wells Fargo Bank, PG&E, UC Davis Health System and SMUD.

The African American community is an important and vibrant part of the Sacramento economic, social and cultural landscape. Many historical contributions have been documented. Central to sustaining these contributions is the continued creation of an infrastructure that builds economic vitality and promotes opportunities for future generations. Thus born . . . YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ACADEMY (YEA).

GOALS

1. Increase the number of youth who can develop the economic capacities to succeed increating and maintaining their own wealth

for participants

Eligible Participants

2.0 GPA
16-23 years old

16-23 year olds with a 2.0 GPA or higher. If selected into the Academy, the student must commit to attend all of the seven sessions and be willing to work with a mentor.

Orientation is mandatory with parent/guardian if under 18years of age.

Structure of the Academy

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy will provide students the theoretical and practical tools necessary to be successful in business.
